2017 Opel Meriva is a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) designed and manufactured by the German manufacturer Opel, from May 2003 until the beginning of 2017. The 1st-generation was classified as a mini MPV, while the second generation is a compact MPV. In the UK, it is marketed as the Vauxhall Meriva, while in South America, was marketed the 1st-generation as the Chevrolet Meriva. A facelifted version was presented at the Brussels International Motor Show January 2014. The 1st-generation called the Meriva A, based on the 3rd-generation Opel Corsa C, went on sale in May 2003.
Like its bigger brother, the 2017 Opel Zafira, the Meriva has a flexible interior, named FlexSpace. Although only five seats in two rows set, the second row forward and moved back, or pushed into the floor, making a straight platform for a larger boat space. The second row can accommodate two or three passengers. In the two-passenger model, the seats are separated by doors and each other much like the front seats. In mode 3-passenger rear seat looks like a regular one-piece seat. The front seat can be pushed fully back, while the rear passengers more than can get a decent amount of legroom.
The Opel Meriva sales in South America, from 2003 through 2012 as the Chevrolet Meriva, where it was replaced in 2012 by the Chevrolet Spin. The initial version was developed jointly by Opel and General Motors do Brasil. It was built in Sao Caetano do Sul, Brazil. Both the Chevrolet Spin and the GMC Granite managed the Chevrolet Meriva.
2017 Opel Meriva B (2010-2017)
The 2nd-generation, with the name of the Meriva B is slightly larger in size than the previous generation and is classified as a compact MPV. The Meriva B appeared in 2009. The new model is 4,288mm in length, 4,052mm from the previous version based on the Corsa. The new model uses revised suspension layout of the former version, but with a floor plan related to the seven-seat Zafira Tourer.
The 2017 Opel Meriva interior is similar to that of the 2017 Opel Astra and 2017 Opel Insignia. The 2017 Opel Meriva B debuted The Meriva is the first estate car in the compact MPV class for the suicide rear doors that Opel calls “FlexDoors” on the show in 2010 Geneva Motor in March and went into production in July 2010. 2017 Opel Meriva Engine
From launch, the Meriva was available with five engines (three petrol, two diesel). The 1.7 diesel engine is only available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the 1.4 Turbo (140 hp) and 1.7 (130 hp) is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. the 1.3 (95 kW) and 1.7 (130 hp) since September 2010, two more engines available both diesel ,. All petrol engines are ECOTEC.
