The 2017 Scion iA is the brand’s first and only 4-door sedan built in Japan. 2017 Scion iA will be the only variant of the Mazda2 to sell in the US. In the United States, the Scion iA sold 7605 units in 2015. As a result of the discontinuation of the Scion brand, the model was re-branded as the Toyota Yaris iA after August 2016 for the model year 2017.
The Scion iA 2017 model have the same characteristics as the Canadian model and it will be sold in three versions. But unlike the Canadian version and the Scion iA, the Yaris R. feature cruise control or a pre-collision warning system, and it is the only version of the rebadged sedan that has a leather steering wheel. The Scion iA is also sold in Puerto Rico Toyota Yaris R, due to the popularity of the previous generation Yaris sedan, which was discontinued.
2017 Scion iA is equipped with the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with both six-speed manual and automatic transmission options. Standard equipped features are many and include power-adjustable heated exterior mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control, power windows and power door locks.
