2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring-L is a brand new minivan. Indeed, it is the replacement of the previous Town & Country minivan, which Chrysler has abandoned. 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring Engine
Every 2017 Chrysler Pacifica comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 that develops 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This power is sent to the front wheels thanks to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The automatic shut-down feature of the engine (to help save gas when it does not move to traffic lights, for example) will be added in the mid-year of the model. In the performance tests, the Pacifica accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds, a few tenths faster than competitors. Fuel savings estimated by the EPA at 22 mpg combined (18 cities / 28 highways). This is an average number for the minivan segment.
2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring Safety
The standard safety equipment for 2017 Pacifica includes traction and stability control, anti-lock disc brakes, side curtain airbags, side airbags in the front seats, driver and co-pilot air bags, and the rearview camera. The anti-lock braking system also includes some additional features, which include periodic drying of the brake rotor under rain conditions and automatic adjustment of the brake pads to the rotors when the driver suddenly lifts the gas.
Rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear traffic alarm are optional for the LX and Touring (SafetyTec Group pack) and standard on all other Pacifica. If you are backing up to a Pacifica, the rear parking sensors have a low-speed automatic braking function that can be applied when an object is detected and the controller does not take any action.
