The ratings in this review are based on our initial impressions of the 2017 Buick LaCrosse Premium Sedan.
2017 Buick LaCrosse Essence
The Essence and Premium can be enhanced with three option packages. The Sun and Shade package adds a panoramic solar power and a power behind the sunshade. The Sights and Sounds package adds a navigation system to IntelliLink and an 11-speaker, premium Bose surrounds sound audio system. Finally, the Dynamic Drive package adds 20-inch wheels, adaptive suspension dampers and, for front-wheel drive models, an upgraded front suspension design.
2017 Buick LaCrosse Inside
As with very large sedans, the LaCrosse offers a spacious interior with enough legroom for a 6 foot to fit behind the other. The rear main room is more restricted due to the sloping roof line. With high amounts of leather and textured plastic, material quality is higher than in previous models. Although the hull is quite deep, the 15 cubic feet of space are small for the segment, and the wheels are intrusive. There are many places to store small items, but the cupcakes are quite level and drinks can be left. LATCH anchors are very easy to access.
2017 Buick LaCrosse Engine
The 2017 aCrosse is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine (310 horsepower, 282 pounds of torque) coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It’s loaded with facilities in the basic LaCrosse cut-off (also known as 1SV), but more luxury, security and technology features can be added in Preferred, Essence, and Top-Level Premium Finishing. Everyone comes standard with front-wheel drive, but the 2017 Buick LaCrosse Premium can be equipped with an advanced all-wheel drive system.
