2014 Audi A6 Interior
The 2014 Audi A6 offers one of the best cabins in its class with an attractive dash design, quality materials and excellent fit and finish strong. The MMI (Multi Media Interface Theme) controls the functions of entertainment, communication and navigation through the pop -up screen mounted on the dashboard and a controller and buttons on the center console. The system has logical menus, sharp graphics and a touch-pad to increase functionality, but still prefer Mercedes COMAND or iDrive BMW for overall ease of use.
The 2014 Audi A6 also offers the option of WiFi in the car, using a 3G connection and adds Google Earth data to the navigation system while also providing simplified Google search for the POI. Sounds a bit exaggerated, but it is actually quite useful if you need to get some work done on the road unexpectedly and no Starbucks in sight. The navigation system of Google Earth is more a matter of form over function, however, and can actually make the map more difficult to understand at a glance.
All seats are supportive and comfortable on long trips, while the rear seat in particular offers space for legs more real than most of its rivals. 14.1 cubic foot trunk of the A6 is a bit small, although the rear seat folds and has a transfer when more space is needed.
2014 Audi A6 Engine
The 2014 Audi A6 2.0T is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 -liter 4 good for 220 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque motor. Front wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) are standard, and all-wheel drive with an eight-speed automatic is available as an option. Audi claims a 0 to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds for models CVT and 6.6 seconds with the eight-speed automatic, which, if true is a bit slow compared to others in the segment. You will do well on pump gas, however, as fuel economy is EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/33 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined for the CVT and 20/29/23 mpg for the automatic eight-speed and all-wheel drive.
The Audi A6 3.0T gets a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that produces 310, horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. A, automatic all-wheel drive and eight-speed start-stop technology is standard. In performance testing, the 2014 Audi A6 3.0T sedan went from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds, a fast time of luxury sedans mid-size, equipped with a similarly powerful six-cylinder engines. The fuel economy stands at an estimated 18/27/22, which is pretty good.
A6 TDI with a turbo diesel engine gets fuel 3.0-liter V6 240 horsepower and 428 lb- ft of torque. Eight -speed automatic and all-wheel drive are standard.
