The 2013 Hyundai Accent sold as a sedan 4-door GLS trim or as a hatchback 5-door in the GS or SE trim. Hyundai says styling Accent shows “fluidic sculpture” design language of the company. Power heated side mirrors are standard on all accents, and include integrated turn signal indicators on the Accent SE.

All 2013 Hyundai Accent is equipped with air conditioning for 2013, and a 172-watt stereo system that includes six speakers, free three-month trial subscription to satellite radio, USB/iPod connection, auxiliary audio jack input, and a CD/mp3 player. Power windows, power door locks and remote entry keyless are also included. Accent GLS sedans are equipped with a body 13.7-cubic-foot. The Accent GS and SE hatchback models capacity to 21.2 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seat using or 47.5 cubic feet with the rear seat folded. The Epa rates Accent as the compact rather than subcompact.

2013 Hyundai Accent Optional Features

Few options are available for the 2013 Hyundai Accent. Depending on the color, the Accent can be equipped with a set of 16-inch aluminum wheels, cruise control, improved cloth seats and assorted interior trim, Bluetooth hands-free calling, sliding center console armrest, mats on the floor, and a sunroof and power.

2013 Hyundai Accent Engine

A direct-injected, 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine is standard on all models Accent. It makes 138 horsepower and 123 lb. ft. of torque and drives front wheels through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. A six-speed automatic with Shiftronic manual control is optional, and includes the Active ECO system Hyundai says it gives improved 7 percent in fuel economy.

The 2013 Hyundai Accent is equipped with six air-bags, traction control, stability control, and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist.

Assessments made by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Accent received the overall rating 4 (out of 5) stars. In the side-impact test, the rear Average Accent’s protection of passengers is 3 stars because of the intrusion the rear door on the left at the time of the test.
