2017 Hummer H3

2017 Hummer H3 is coming out soon! Compared to the outgoing model, the popular mid-size SUV doesn’t bring much in the way of upgrades, the same old sturdy chassis and the wide wheelbase, and slightly more efficient fuel economy than the outgoing model. Moreover, Hummer H3 2017 offers an improved interior design, more comfort than the last Hummer, and a more reasonable price tag.

2017 Hummer H3 Features

The Hummer H3, as we know it today, was released back in 2003 featuring the specs that pretty much remained the same to date. Unfortunately, there is no indication that the 2017 H3 will break with the trademark bulky profile and armor-plate styled front and back. A large chrome grille at the front, in addition to a 10-plus inch clearance of the road on the front wheels, as well as the protected underbody, makes it an excellent ride for all kinds of off-road scenarios.

However, those same things that make Hummer such a good friend in off-road situations make it a liability in a city environment: the burly appearance, as well as the weight, have been a constant gripe of many a consumer looking for an SUV adept at maneuvering parking lots and back streets. In terms of comfort, the H3’s cabin and the seats, despite the height and width of the car, are scarce at best. The fairly thick A-pillars create blind spots while the C-pillars obstruct the rear view of the road – basically, the Hummer H3 2017 never lets you forget its beginnings as a combat vehicle.

The leather bucket-style seats come with 6-way adjustable power system as well as heaters. Also, a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system and some upscale safety features, such as Panic Brake Assist, StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System, airbags at the front and curtain airbags come as standard. Cargo volume will be 25.0 cubic feet (0.71 m3). From safety features, the new Hummer 2017 H3 is going to have Electronic stability control, anti-lock four-wheel disc brakes and LATCH child-seat anchors.

2017 Hummer H3 Engine

2017 Hummer H3 is going to have a 5.3 liter LH8 V8 engine with 300 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque coupled to a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. With a four-wheel drive setup, the model will have a fuel economy estimated at 13 mpg in the city and 16 mpg on the highway.

2017 Hummer H3 Release Date and Price

The 2017 Hummer H3 will start showing sometime in late 2016. The 2017 Hummer H3 price tag hasn’t been announced yet. However, we estimate it will begin from $32,000 and climb up steeply depending on the trim and optional package.
