The 2014 Audi R8 is a two-seater convertible mid-engine exotic supercar available in coupe and V8 (Spyder), coupe and V10 and V10 Plus coupe convertible finished levels. The 2014 Audi R8, standard equipment in the V8 coupe includes 19-inch wheels with summer tires, the adaptive suspension, cruise control, automatic climate control, full LED lighting, electric heated seats eight positions of leather and faux suede upholstery, the auto-dimming mirror, heated side mirrors, Bluetooth and an audio system with seven speakers with the six-CD changer, the auxiliary audio jack and satellite radio. The Convenience package adds rear parking sensors, camera, the power folding mirrors and front and rear networks internal storage. The 2014 Audi R8 convertible soft top adds an electric drive and a retractable rear window that acts as a wind deflector. The 2014 Audi R8 rides firmly despite its adaptive suspension, and the road noise is pronounced relative to most Audis. But by the standards of exotic cars, the 2014 Audi R8 is a daily driver very comfortable and quiet. Low seat height, however, is especially good visibility in all directions. 2014 Audi R8 Interior
There are several subtle changes inside the Audi R8 2014. The front trunk is 3.5 cubic feet awkward shapes and just enough space for a travel bag (a Porsche 911 feels like a minivan in comparison). As such, the R8 is not the best choice for a long road trip away. The Spyder Convertible hood models ‘ can run at speeds up to 31 mph. It takes about 20 seconds to turn in any direction. 2014 Audi R8 Engine
The 2014 Audi R8 V8 is powered by 4.2-liter V8 mounted behind passenger compartment that sends 430 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque through an AWD system. The six-speed manual transmission with gated shifter metal is standard, while the manual seven-speed dual clutch automatic, known as S tronic is optional and includes steering wheel mounted shift paddles. In performance testing, the closed R8 V8 with manual transmission went from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Equipped with a transmission, the 2014 Audi R8 V10 features 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 525 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. In performance tests, the V10 Coupe with the manual went from zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and 2014 Audi R8 V10 Spyder also to the manual, it did in 3.9 seconds. Fuel economy is EPA-estimated 12/19/14 with the manual and 13/22/16 with S tronic. The R8 V10 Plus boosts power to 550 horsepower and 398 pound- feet of torque. Any transmission is available. In testing, 2014 Audi R8 V10 Plus S tronic equipped rushed to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Fuel economy is EPA-estimated 13/22/16 or 12/19/14 with the manual transmission.
2014 Audi R8 Security
Standard safety equipment includes anti-lock disc brakes, stability control, the side airbags and knee airbags. Front and rear parking sensors and the camera are standard or optional, depending on the setting. This year, to lose weight and contribute to cooling, Audi has changed the design of the ceramic brake discs not used on all models except the V10 Plus.
